Wedding guest shoes: The best flat wide shoes for women 2025

I love love, good food and bad dancing, so it’ll come as no surprise that I love a good wedding. But I’ll tell you what I don’t love: sore feet. I want to be the last one on the dance floor, not weeping into a compeed blister patch at 11pm in the corner.

Suffice to say, the days of me suffering for style are well and truly gone. I am in my era of comfortable wedding guest shoes only. Anything that squishes or pinches is out. No second chances.

This is the first in a series of three posts on wedding guest shoes - wide fit edition. We’ll cover heels in the second, and platforms and wedges in the third. But for now, I’m all about the comfiest, most stylish flat wedding guest shoes on the market in 2025. All suitable for at least wide width, with some extra and extra extra wide options too.

If you’re looking for a sleek ballet flat, look no further than this suave offering from Calla the brand known for its bunion supportive footwear. These shoes run standard size across the heel, with the width in the toe box by way of a soft stretch panel, which can accommodate bunions.

I'm sorry but these are just adorable. Like something straight out of a fairy tale! The elegant mule silhouette, the dinky little bow, the gold leather. It's the stuff of wide fit wedding guest shoes dreams!

The slip on design means getting ready is a doddle, and the slim 8mm base is ideal for a bit of support and dancing the night away. Some reviewers have mentioned their tendency to slip off, which from a design point of view I would assume is because their feet are too narrow for these beauties.

We're talking: a spacious toe box, breathable arch support and a soft memory foam insole, perfect to wear from morning to midnight. Plus the backstrap is cleverly elasticated, to ensure the perfect fit.

We also need to talk about the toe box. (There's a sentence teenage me never thought I'd say). It's home to a hidden foam panel, to seamlessly soothe and protect your toe joints and/or bunions.

Crafted out of butter soft leather and in a timeless almond or black finish, you might buy these shoes for a specific wedding, but I'd bet money on them becoming a wardrobe staple.

The sizing though. Sigh. You can grab these in a wide fit, but they don't come in an extra wide fit sadly. You can get the same style in an extra wide fit in a patent version which comes in: blush pink, black or navy. Which is fine, but, let's be honest, it's not the same as wearing literal disco balls on your feet is it?
